History
Minnetonka Paws For Parks (MPFP) began in 2022 as a Facebook group for off-leash dog walkers at Purgatory Park. When the City of Minnetonka discussed restricting off-leash dogs in the 2024 Purgatory Park Master Plan, we formed MPFP to mobilize support for off-leash access and help address some dog-related complaints that arose from the community discussion. Our members believe off-leash access is beneficial for dogs, necessary for the community, and if we work together, it can be a force for positive change.
